I can only agree. Zelda has been a huge part of my childhood, but I eventually moved on as I grew up and the series had kinda become forgotten for many years. This place has not only revived my love for the series, it's also given me great friends I can look forward talking to everyday. Though it's hard to believe, but I don't know a single person in real life who REALLY loves Zelda and who could rant about the series all day. This place is filled with our kind, and it's given me something that had been missing in my life for all these years. Thank you so much to all of my friends I've made on here!

Oh yeah, definitely. If I could, I'd love to go back to witness the Zeldapedia community in its more glorious days. It's a shame I couldn't be there for it.

A journey comes to an end

I wasn't exactly planning on making a last post, but whatever. I just need to bid farewell to this place before it's gone for good.

Luckily, I found this place just in time to join the community and get to know the people on here before learning that Zeldapedia will soon cease to exist. A few months later, and I would not have met any of you guys.

I remember the day I discovered the Discussion section on the wiki. I wasn’t particularly interested in joining at first. But then, a few people caught my attention. I saw how some of you guys really tried to keep the community alive, and I was intrigued. How could I ever regret having made the decision to join? You guys welcomed me with open arms and my initial fear of going forgotten or not getting noticed in the first place was quickly wiped away, because really, quite the contrary was the case. It’s weird how I can talk to many people on here as if we’d been friends for years and I hope the community will remain a friendly place where everyone can come to talk about whatever. Thanks to everyone in the community!

Also: Admins, bureaucrats, and editors of the wiki, I bow to you. Holding your ground on here for so many years is truly admirable. Aquila, Ceiling Master, Green Rupee, Nathan and Tirlby, I appreciate all your efforts to maintaining this place and keeping the community safe from all kinds of harm. Even though your sense of humor makes we want to go ham against you sometimes, your impeccable taste in everything, your legendary typos and the care and kindness you give us made my time on here truly enjoyable. (Edit: And it made our community STROGNER ;-) ) Hopefully, we’ll have the pleasure to keep you with us as long as possible!

Thank you, Zeldapedia. For giving me new friends and for sparking a whole new love for my all-time favourite video game series that I grew up on.

@Kazden Hughes Long story short: The community has decided to merge with Zelda Wiki, thus Zeldapedia will cease to exist.

@Nathan: I agree with the list and I'm happy to see how the community has grown over the past few months on the Discord server. I love how it's always been a friendly place to come talk about whatever, whether it's about Zelda games or not. The people on there just made every moment I spent on there enjoyable. The wiki itself has been very useful to me and I thank all the staff members and editors for dedicating their time to Zeldapedia for all these years. Your work is appreciated by all of us! And not ot only have you made an effort to spread knowledge on here, you've also become active in the community by participating to conversations and discussions we have on there. You guys are great! Though I've mentioned this before, I gotta say again that this is the first community I've ever been a part of, and what you guys have created is awesome. In fact, it makes me want to NOT join any other community because I'm pretty sure that what I've found on here is something unique irreplaceable. Goodbye, Zeldapedia. I'm grateful I was here to witness this.

Well, Nintendo hasn't been that consistent with Link's age throughout the games, as we have both younger and older incarnations of the hero, however they're all depicted around their teens or even younger. Making an Old Man Link would definitely break away from the traditional concept of our hero and I'm not sure Nintendo is ready to do that yet. I think that it would add an entirely different tone to the game, too, so I'd say it's not very likely to happen. Not that I would mind, though. Buuuuut, I sure prefer a baby faced Link, haha

I haven't been around for that long, but this truly is a bittersweet moment. This platform, alongside the Discord server, has given me the opportunity to meet wonderful people to gush over my favourite games with or just to talk to about anything, really. Definitely more than I ever could have hoped for. I bow to the admins who held their ground on here for so many years, despite everyone else leaving. And to everyone who contributed to setting up the server. This is the first community I've ever been a part of in my life, and what you guys gave me was beyond all my expectations. Thank you everyone, thank you, Zeldapedia. And farewell.

Our admins do what they think is best for our community. If they believe that this will contribute to keeping the community alive... I'm behind this. Besides, we can keep the Discord server and it won't be affected too much by the merger. I approve of this.

Allow me to quote @NathanTheAsian332 here, for he made some interesting remarks regarding who is the most powerful Link:

"If we take on his Hero's Shade persona, then he's clearly powerful. By then he would have the Hidden Skills AND the Masks in his disposal (this is talking on a Child Timeline version). One of his masks grants him the ability to wield the powers of the Fierce Deity. One hit could obliterate anything or deal massive damage, and that would most likely mean that he's the most powerful."

@Ben H. Clément Whoops, you were totally right. She IS hands down the best companion! I think she and Link made a great team and their parting in the end is heartbreaking. The plot is fantastic and I actually loved the OoT references you could find throughout the whole game. I'm totally fine with TP being the "spiritual successor" to OoT. I'm glad you liked the game, too.

I'm still curious, though. What are your complaints with TP?

Twilight Princess is not only my favourite Zelda game, it's also my all time favourite out of all games I've ever played to this day. There's only little to complain about and much to praise. Beautiful soundtrack, georgeous art style, solid plot and gameplay, what else do you need? While some people disliked the game for being too dark, I liked the concept of light and twilight. Also, Midna is one of the -- if not THE -- best companion Link has ever had. So I agree with you, it is definitely a great game in my eyes!

Also, you've played all Zelda games? That's impressive, alright!

It's hard to miss how much you dislike Breath of the Wild VR, haha. But you said it yourself: The game is just not meant to have VR. This clearly shows with the lacking options to move the camera, as you already stated above. But why did they make BotW VR in the first place?

Do you think the next mainstream instalment will be designed to have VR to begin with?

Link's Awakening HAS to make an appearance. You said they might push through E3 because extra promotion would help a lot, and I agree. If they don't promote the game they might as well have released it earlier.

By the way, you predicted the next mainstream Zelda game to come out in 2021.. when do you think will it make an appearance in an E3?

Hey, great to see your updated Game Release Timeline!

May I ask why you think A Link to the Past is going to be released on September 19 and Link's Awakening on December 7 precisely?

Also, it'd be a shame if Nintendo only released a remastered version of a previous Zelda instalment in an entire year. Don't you think they got more in store for 2020? What about potential ports to the Switch? You haven't mentioned them at all in your post.

And lastly, are you positive the next mainstream Zelda game is going to be a BotW sequel? I've heard about other speculations on the Internet and I'm still unsure of what to think.
