As you probably noticed, we have locked this wiki from editing and put up a banner notifying everyone to read and edit on Gamepedia from now on.
We are still working on a way to lock down Discussions while keeping the content that is already here visible.
Now the community can come together and all work on the same resource over at Gamepedia. See you all there!
So after the rumors about twilight princess and wind waker hd being ported to the switch were "leaked" do you think these are going to be a bundle or two separate games? Also do you think we could get 1 other port like Skyward sword maybe?
Hello, everyone. This is the last Discussion post I'll ever make here, and the last Announcement you'll ever receive from this site.
The votes are in, and with a total of 28 supports and 7 opposes, the majority of our community has decided to merge with Zelda Wiki. I'd like to thank each and every one of you again who voted and contributed to the discussion.
FANDOM has been contacted, and the official date for the implementation of Project Crossover will be June 15, 2019.
Coincidentally -- or perhaps by fate -- this will be the fourteenth anniversary of Zeldapedia's founding by Champion Kai in 2005. The community has grown and changed tremendously since its inception, but this is not its end; we are all being welcomed with open arms by the wonderful Zelda Wiki community, and our Discord server is thriving more than ever as our two communities come together.
I would encourage all of you to go to Zelda Universe, our new affiliate, and explore their robust forums. I'm sure you'll be able to make friends and have wonderful discussion there; they're incredibly friendly people and always welcoming to new users.
The future of the Temple of Courage remains to be determined; with any luck, we'll find a new home for it, either on Zelda Wiki, Zelda Universe, or our Discord server.
I've enjoyed my time on this site with all of you, and I'll most likely be writing a lengthier and more meaningful farewell in the coming weeks to post on my userpage.
Farewell, Zeldapedia. May you live forever in our hearts.

I toyed with the idea of doing a poll for this, but I don't trust the results not to skew the data. Zeldapedia has always voted this way, so just respond to this post with either "Support" or "Oppose". You don't have to include a reason, but it would be nice to have any final thoughts accompanying your response.
"Support": I support the crossing over of Zeldapedia and ZeldaWiki and the merging of their communities.
"Oppose": I do not want Zeldapedia and ZeldaWiki to cross over, and wish for their communities to remain separate.

Hey, everyone. This could very well be the most important Discussion post we'll ever have on Zeldapedia.
As you may know, FANDOM (who hosts us here on Zeldapedia) bought Curse Media, who owned Gamepedia. This meant that FANDOM acquired Gamepedia, along with all their individual wikis -- and that includes ZeldaWiki. There are numberous subjects that have wikis dedicated to them both on FANDOM and on Gamepedia, and talks have been had among many different communities about merging together under one wiki.
So you can probably see where this is going. The staff here has been in talks with the staff over at ZeldaWiki. Fine people, really, and we've easily been able to bury the hatchet between our communities. We've talked a lot about how our sites are doing, and one thing that was almost universally agreed upon was our ideal scenario: rather than dividing our efforts to make two sub-par sites, we pool our resources together and make one top-notch wiki devoted to the Legend of Zelda series.
So the choice on the table is relatively simple (though that doesn't make it an easy decision); joining forces with ZeldaWiki would mean a few things logistically:
1. Zeldapedia as we know it would become archived. The entire site would be locked from editing to everyone except FANDOM staff.
2. Our Discussions board would be effectively shut down, locked from adding new posts.
3. A banner (provided by FANDOM and Gamepedia) would be placed globally (on every wiki page) directing viewers to ZeldaWiki.
In practice, things would look like the Conan Exiles Wiki (conanexiles.fandom.com/wiki/Main_page).
The purpose of this post is to be an open forum to discuss whether we, as a community, want to pursue this opportunity.
Personally, I'm of the opinion that "crossing over" (as FANDOM calls it) is the best course of action for Zeldapedia. Our activity is nearly nonexistent, and moving our few editors to ZeldaWiki to pool our resources would unite the communities. The growth and well-being of Zelda wikis online could depend on us joining together.
It's also no secret that this Discussions board has seen a decline in activity over the months; responses to our recent poll show that the vast majority of you (over 80%) prefer using the Discord server, which is still growing and much more active than the main site or the Discussions board.
Note: I hope it goes without saying, but this is NOT the place to slam FANDOM, Zeldapedia, Gamepedia, ZeldaWiki, Curse, NIWA, or any other tangentially related sites or organizations.

There's been an update for the Unified app. You can now post polls and they'll be visible on there as well. From now on Polls can be posted comfortably.
Given recent "drama" (viewed mostly on Discord) stemming from people disliking jokes and less professional content, i'm putting up a poll in regards to adding "joke posts" to the Low-Effort category in the rules. All you simply need to do as Users is to reply to the post stating you agree with this change. You stating your agreement is a sort of lamination of words, showing your agreement to the change.
Two new categories - Moderator Questions, for anything you'd like to ask the staff team, and Off-Topic, in which you can post about anything you'd like (apart from NSFW content and Sociopolitical topics).
New Rules will be enforced into the Guidelines by the time this post reaches an hour of it's posting.

Hello all! As some of you may already know (or not), there is now a Unified FANDOM App that you can use as an Application on your mobile devices. Simply go to the App/Play Store, and download the FANDOM App. From there, you can sign in as you would onto your FANDOM account, select up to 3 Fandoms to follow, and bam! No more need for singular apps for your Fandoms! I will be using this from now on, as it allows me to track activity between Zeldapedia and TES, and I don't need to exit the App and switch anymore.

Because our Zeldapedia has an App of the /d, it'll be a part of this Unified Wikia App that'll be implemented fully on both iOS and Android later. The link will transfer you to a post over at my Main Fandom, the TES Wiki, and i'd like everyone here to read the post and the replies in case of any questions that you'd have about this.
I don't know what'll happen with this, so it's best to simply ask Atvelonis on that Thread if you've any other questions about this. Personally, I think it's a great idea and I can't wait for it to be fully complete.
There may be a new rule that i'll implement soon on these boards, and that'll be an Off-Topic rule. Users will now be able to post Off-Topic conversations, but they still have to be of good enough standard and appropriate for a younger/less mature Userbase. Any thoughts or suggestions about this will be gladly taken into consideration. Cheers!
