It’s time for me to say goodbye. I haven’t been active on here in the latter months but I’d still like to say goodbye to everyone I’ve met. I have met some of my best friends on here. And they will hopefully continue to be my best friends. Through all the sticky situations and ordeals I always floated towards this app. I knew this app I could always find someone fun to talk to about something I liked... Zelda. Nobody in the wide world do I know away from the internet likes Zelda. But I travel here and I can talk to people who do. I mostly use the discord now but I still love this app. It’s an amazing thing this wiki/fandom. And if it wasn’t for this wiki/fandom I’m positive I wouldn’t be the same somothunder. I’d still be me, but different. And although it may sound cheesy, this app did change me. I love you zeldapedia and all its residents. Goodbye. ??

Just Updated
Tomorrow is Nintendo's turn to present at E3 2019. I've created a list of predictions for the Direct, and most of them are quite obvious, while others are simply guesses:
- 1 new Nintendo Switch game
- 2 ports of Wii U games
- Nintendo-based indies
- The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
- Cadence of Hyrule
- SNES - Nintendo Switch Online
- New Nintendo Switch Online game/feature
- Bayonetta 3
- Metroid Prime Trilogy remaster
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order
- Fire Emblem: Three Houses
- Pokémon: Sword/Shield
- Daemon X Machina
- 2020 Olympic games
- Luigi's Mansion 3
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC 2
- Animal Crossing (2019)
- Astral Chain
- Mario Kart Tour
- Persona 5 R/Shin Megami Tensei V
- New Capcom game
- New Nintendo-based Ubisoft game
- New Bandai Namco game
What are your predictions? Do you have a bingo card for this?
When it comes to buying a console for playing Zelda games, what's the best one? No, it's not the Nintendo Switch. UNLESS you were going for the NEWEST Zelda games, the Nintendo Switch is NOT the right console to go for.
It's the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
Let's look at the lineup for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U for Zelda games:
Nintendo 3DS
1. Ocarina of Time 3D
2. Majora's Mask 3D
3. A Link Between Worlds
4. Tri Force Heroes
5. Phantom Hourglass (DS backwards compatibility, cartridge only)
6. Spirit Tracks (DS backwards compatibility, cartridge only)
7. The Legend of Zelda (Virtual Console)
8. The Adventure of Link (Virtual Console)
9. A Link to the Past (Virtual Console, New 3DS models only)
10. Link's Awakening DX (Virtual Console)
11. Oracle of Seasons (Virtual Console)
12. Oracle of Ages (Virtual Console)
13. The Minish Cap (Virtual Console)
14. Four Swords Anniversary Edition (NO LONGER AVAILABLE)
Wii U
1. The Wind Waker HD
2. Twilight Princess HD/Twilight Princess (Wii backwards compatibility)
3. Breath of the Wild
4. Skyward Sword (Wii backwards compatibility, also available on eShop)
5. The Legend of Zelda (Virtual Console)
6. The Adventure of Link (Virtual Console)
7. A Link to the Past (Virtual Console)
8. Ocarina of Time (Virtual Console)
9. Majora's Mask (Virtual Console)
10. The Minish Cap (Virtual Console)
11. Phantom Hourglass (Virtual Console)
12. Spirit Tracks (Virtual Console)
My recommendation would be the Wii U. Yes, you do have to sacrifice some games like ALBW, TFH, LA, OoS, OoA, and possibly FS, but you don't come across console barriers (such as ALttP not on older 3DS models), and you won't have to worry about buying an expensive physical copy to play (PH and ST).
The Nintendo Switch is one of Nintendo's greatest consoles ever made, both statistically and subjectively. It revolutionized the idea of hybrid video game consoles; taking the Wii U's idea and expanding on it further. Here are some of the greatest things with the Nintendo Switch.
5. Joy Cons
Take the Wii Remotes and Wii U GamePad and combine them together, and you have yourself Joy Cons. They can be played in Handheld mode, like the Wii U GamePad. they can be played separately in Docked/Tabletop mode, similarly to the Wii Remote and Nunchuck. They can also be played like a traditional controller, similarly to many other consoles. They can be used individually like a Wii Remote, or sideways like a SNES Controller. They are used for Nintendo Labo, and you can do fun things with them in 1-2 Switch. They are so convenient, they have so many features on them.
I do have three complaints though; the Grip makes the ZR and ZL buttons practically tiny for the human hand, causing your pointer finger to have to cramp inwards to actually press them properly, the Right Joy Con in Handheld mode isn't exactly idea for some games, requiring you to either bend your thumb a lot or use the joint of your thumb instead of the top. Finally, the analog sticks themselves generate issues, such as lack of analog depth, especially when used for camera or movement, and how easy it is to damage them. Numerous people have Joy Con drift.
4. Touch Screen
While it is underused, it's a nice finishing touch to the Nintendo Switch. Having just a normal screen would render Nintendo Labo useless for some features, and you have an alternative if you are charging your controllers are just want to quickly adjust something without having to use the controllers. However, the fact that it's underused is what disappoints me, and there is a lot more potential with that touchscreen.
3. Cartridges
The cartridges are more convenient than discs in many ways. Yes, they are responsible for the expensive prices of some games, and they can't hold as much as a Blu-Ray Disc, but they are convenient to bring around, they still pack a punch with their games, and they save up so much space from the downloads on your Switch. You also don't have to worry as much to protect them from damage, and you can easily change games whenever you want.
2. Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
This is the definition of an excellent gaming controller. First off, its battery life excels, and while it only holds half the time that the Wii U Pro Controller has, its amount of features makes up for that loss (and is the reason for that loss). It has a Gyroscope, so you can use motion controls. It has an NFC Touchpoint, so you can use amiibo (this avoids the Wii U problem). It's significantly larger than Joy Cons with the buttons, analog sticks, and overall sizing. It has the popular off-set controller layout, and it's not vertical like the Joy Cons. It comes with a USB-C Charger, so you can also use it to charge your Switch. Finally, its shaping is perfect for longer sessions of gaming.
My complaints is that it lacks design choices, but I do like the design which was inspired off of the Game Boy series. My second complaint is its D-Pad defect, which was notorious for trigger "up" when pressing Right and Left; however, it has never happened to me.
1. Library
When it comes to the library, some people may wave it off for the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One's library, but I have faith in third-party developers in bringing their games onto the Switch, and I have faith in Nintendo to bring in the requested game, which is why I never delayed my purchase for the Switch. I made the sacrifice of some games, but in return I still enjoy my Switch. Breath of the Wild and Splatoon 2 are my most played games, and for a console that has the library of the Wii U, NES, ports, indie games, and original content, it really does make a good library of games.
What are your favourite things with the Nintendo Switch?
Sorry I havn't been on lately i'v been in the midst of moving, and have been grounded. Drew my first L.o.Z character at the new house. Idk if I'm gonna color it though cus I dont wanna ruin it.
This is going to be one of my last posts here at the Zeldapedia /d. Thank you all for participating as we move forward to a possible merger. From there, I would be moving onto Zelda Universe forums, and I hope you all will do the same if we merge with Zelda Wiki. Anyways, without further ado, let's get started:
I'm quite late for this, but looking at the trailer, this looks a whole lot better than what we got for BotW. Sure, the resolution is set at 480p, meaning the video quality is a little blocky, but I'm used to that as a player of Super Smash Bros. 4.
I have yet to try it out though, but the trailer already gives me impressions of how Nintendo Labo VR SHOULD be used; not on some 3rd-person game, but instead, a platformer, from the audience's perspective. "Front-row seats" as they call it, which is what I like to hear.
What are your thoughts on this? Have you tried it out yet?

What's your favourite Nintendo video game console?
My personal favourite is the Nintendo Switch, while the Wii comes in at a close second, followed by the Wii U.
The reason I like the Nintendo Switch is obviously because of the convenience and its ability to be played as a home console and a handheld console. It has a very good library (though half of it comes from the Wii U), and it made handheld gaming fun for me, as my play time with the previous handhelds weren't as long.
I like the Wii for its library and the fact that it's best-suited as a multiplayer console. Whenever I'm playing with my family, or with friends, the Wii was always the go-to console for most games back in the day. My most favourite games were the party games, namely any of the Mii series games such as Wii Sports and Wii Party.
I like the Wii U for many reasons. It felt like a "professional gaming console" but at the same time it felt like a party console. It had such a great library of 1st-party games, it HAS the MOST Zelda games, and it basically took the Wii to a greater level with its games, such as Nintendo Land, Wii Party U, and even Wii Sports Club!
I almost forgot to mention another reason I like the Wii U and Nintendo Switch; they have Breath of the Wild, of course. It's the game that brought me back to the Zelda franchise, and despite already playing it on the Wii U, I decided to play it on the Switch anyways.

Today, Reggie Fils-Aimé retires from Nintendo of America, and taking his spot today is (Doug) BOWSER. Serving as President of Nintendo of America for almost 15 years, let us all thank Reggie Fils-Aimée for his hard work, for his numerous meme moments, and overall great presentations.

And it will always be ready, just as he said in his retirement statement.
Thank you, Reggie.
May we meet again in another life...
Ok so im obviously not posting alot, and id like to post more but i just have no clue what to post. I am thinking i may do a zelda art review. So what do you guys think on this idea? If you want me to review your art in a post let me know, we can set something up where you send me your art. (Discord, email, instagram, etc.) So yea, what do you guys think on this idea?
I never put this into a full-depth discussion but... why isn't the GameCube Controller RESPECTIVELY compatible with Nintendo Switch games other than Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? When I say "respectively" I mean programmed as a GameCube Controller, NOT a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
Think about it. It would be great for games like Mario Kart 8 and a bunch of fighting games (except for Arms) and it could work for Splatoon 2 if anyone would ever want to do that. Instead, Nintendo decides to program is at "Pro Controller" except for Smash.
What are your thoughts? Do you think it's worth spending a lot of money for just one Nintendo Switch game?
I have been diagnosed with a bad sinus infection and need something to do to pass the time as the antibiotics the doctor gave me take a whole day to work. I need a pretty long breath of the wild side quest because I have not done really any of them. Please hurry!
Hi im new here. Nice to meet you!
The Wii U was among one of Nintendo's worst-selling consoles, and is considered a commercial failure for many reasons. The Nintendo Switch is considered one of Nintendo's best consoles, and is their fastest-selling console in North America. Why is it that two very similar consoles with virtually the same games have a vastly different success rate? This is because of their first trailers:
- Wii U Trailer was shown on June 7, 2011; 1 year and 4 months before release w/unfinished Wii U and Wii U games.
- Nintendo Switch Trailer was shown on October 26, 2017; 5 months before release w/finished Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch games.
- Wii U Trailer showed games that were vastly similar to the Wii games.
- Nintendo Switch Trailer showed games that were new or popular.
- Wii U Trailer kept focusing on the Wii U GamePad and not the console.
- Nintendo Switch Trailer focused on the majority of the console's abilities.
- Wii U Trailer had noticeably fake and poor levels of acting.
- Nintendo Switch Trailer had realistic acting.
- Wii U Trailer used music created to give the feeling of a video game.
- Nintendo Switch Trailer used music from a popular artist.
- Wii U Trailer displayed words that explained the capabilities.
- Nintendo Switch Trailer displayed self-explanatory capabilities.
What are your thoughts? Did you think the Wii U had the potential to gain success?
Ive been busy with school and stuff. Im gonna try to get back in this. So yea im the noob once again XD. But yea sooo just letting everyone know im back and if there is any changes i need to know about drop em in the comments VVV. Thanks.
I'm new here!
