Navi

Amy is a recurring character in the Legend of Zelda series. She is the youngest of the Poe Sisters, and is adorned in green robes.

Appearances[]

Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time[]

Amy is one of the Poes who haunts the halls of the Forest Temple. When Link enters the central chamber of the Forest Temple, Amy and her sisters appear. They steal the flames of the torches that activate the Elevator leading to Phantom Ganon's chamber. Because of this, Link must give chase through the temple. Amy inhabits a single large painting taking up most of the wall in an isolated chamber. Link shoots the painting once with an arrow, which does not destroy it, but causes five Blocks to fall from the ceiling. He must then assemble four of these blocks to form the image of Amy in the painting (the fifth block is unused and simply serves to complicate the process). If he cannot complete this within the time limit the blocks flip over and he must start again. Once the picture is assembled, Amy leaves her painting and battles Link.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask[]

Amy and her sisters are being held in the backroom of the Spirit House. The Ghost Hunter asks Link to heal their souls. If the hero accepts, he is thrown into a battle with the four sisters. If he succeeds in defeating all of them, he obtains their "earthly possession", a Piece of Heart.

Spoiler warning: Spoilers end here.

Etymology[]

Amy appears to be named after Amy March, the youngest of the sisters in Little Women.
