Beetles are recurring enemies in the Legend of Zelda series.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

Beetles are found exclusively in a certain area of the Ukuku Prairie, on the path to Kanalet Castle. An infinite number of Beetles are found coming out of a hole in the ground.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons

Beetles will occasionally appear when Link digs a hole with the Shovel. During the battles with Façade in Oracle of Seasons, it will spawn Beetles to attack Link. Beetles move randomly about the area, attacking only by bumping into Link.

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

Beetles appear commonly beneath grass, rocks and pots, as well as within patches of dirt that are destroyed with the Mole Mitts. They are also spawned in the battle with Mazaal. When Beetles grab hold of Link, he is heavily slowed down and unable to use any items until they are removed.
