"This hearty radish has grown much larger than the average radish. It's rich in analeptic compounds that, when cooked into a dish, temporarily increase your maximum hearts."
Hyrule Compendium

Big Hearty Radishes are Materials from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. They are curative items that restore Link's health by refilling four Heart Containers. Their shape is similar to that of a Heart. They are rare vegetable but can be found more commonly in Akkala Highlands and Lanayru Great Spring regions according to their entry's common locations section. They can also be found on Nero Hill, Akkala Wilds north of Skull Lake in Deep Akkala, and on the northern slope of Satori Mountain. The Big Hearty Radish appears as entry 185 in the Hyrule Compendium Materials section.

 Cooking[]

Link can cook with Big Hearty Radishes to grant "Hearty" effect to dishes and Elixirs, which fully restores Link's health and gives Link additional temporary hearts. They can be a main ingredient in Fried Wild GreensCream of Mushroom Soup, Cream of Vegetable Soup, Creamy Heart Soup, Creamy Meat Soup, Creamy Seafood Soup, Herb Sauté, Salt-Grilled Greens, Steamed Fish, Steamed Fruit, Steamed Meat, Steamed Mushrooms, Vegetable Omelet, and Veggie Rice Balls. Effects do not stack in cooking, so Big Hearty Radishes cannot be paired with items of other effects without resulting in Dubious Food.

Link can roast Big Hearty Radishes by placing them on a Campfire or hot surface to create Roasted Big Radish. Like all vegetables, they cannot be frozen. Roasting does not transfer the "Hearty" effect of the dish; only cooking in a pot will transfer special effects.
