Blobs are recurring enemies in the Legend of Zelda series. They are a weaker version of Buzzblobs that do not generate electricity. Because of this, Link can attack them with the sword without being stunned first. They look identical to Buzzblobs from previous games. Buzzblobs will temporarily turn into Blobs when stunned. Blobs can pop up from the ground much like Popos would.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds[]
Blobs appear commonly in Hyrule's overworld, sometimes accompanied by Buzzblobs. After Link defeats Yuga in the Eastern Palace, some Blobs are replaced by Hyrule Guards.
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes[]
Blobs appear as enemies in Tri Force Heroes, and appear virtually unchanged from their appearance in A Link Between Worlds. The is also an item called Blob Jelly which is apparently jelly that comes from a Blob.
