- "This two-handed weapon was once wielded by the Goron Champion Daruk. Daruk made swinging it around look easy, but a Hylian would need an immense amount of strength."

The Boulder Breaker is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a Goron sword originally wielded by Goron Champion Daruk. Like most Goron swords, it functions more akin to a Hammer due to its blunt blade and weight, as in they mine ore better than all other weapons. As a result this weapon can be considered a hammer-sword hybrid.
Though it lacks cutting power, it can still break Ore Deposits, Barrels, Weak Walls, Pots, and Crates (both metallic & wooden) in a single hit. Although Daruk could wield it one-handed due to his natural strength, its weight forces Link to wield it as a two-handed weapon. Link can obtain it from Bludo who entrusts it to Link after freeing the Divine Beast Vah Rudania and completing the "Divine Beast Vah Rudania" main quest.
The Boulder Breaker has a base attack power of 60 and the highest durability making it the strongest out of all the Goron made swords. Its base attack power even greater than the legendary Biggoron's Sword though both it and the Biggoron's Sword are equal in terms of base durability and the Boulder Breaker lacks the cutting power of the Biggoron's Sword due to its blunt edge. The Boulder Breaker is an excellent and replaceable mid-game weapon, though weapons such as the Savage Lynel Crusher and Royal Guard's Claymore surpass it in terms of damage.
Reforging[]
Like the other Champion armaments, Link can have it reforged when it breaks. It can be reforged by the Goron blacksmith Rohan in Goron City.
