"at the ruins where sinners were imprisoned..."
Misko's EX Journal

Castle Town Prison is a location from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is located in the Hyrule Field region, on the island west of Hyrule Castle and is accessible via the Moat Bridge northwest of the Hyrule Castle Town Ruins. It consists of burned out ruins of the town's prison which was destroyed along with the rest of Hyrule Castle Town during the Great Calamity and there is little left of the prison itself. A Guardian Stalker and a Guardian Skywatcher patrol the area.

Overview[]

Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

Link can find three statues used for offerings and two of the statues hold Rusty Shields. If Link offers a Rusty Shield to the middle statue, a Korok will appear and give him a Korok Seed. After obtaining the Korok Seed, Link can pick up all three shields which he can refresh into better shields by feeding them to Rock Octoroks when they suck in air, which will chew the shield and spit out a different shield.

Link can search for two broken Guardians to obtain a random "Guardian" part. A Raft can also be found here which allows Link to travel across Hyrule Castle Moat. Link can find Stone Talus (Rare) on top of the small mountain overlooking the ruins. The Noya Neha Shrine can be found inside a cave behind a Weak Wall on the southwest portion of the island.

EX Side Quest[]

As part of "The Master Trials" DLC, the Castle Town Prison plays a role in "EX Treasure: Fairy Clothes". It is the answer to the clue found in Misko's EX Journal to the location of the Treasure Chest containing Tingle's Shirt which the bandit Misko had hidden there.

Spoiler warning: Spoilers end here.
