Chasupas are recurring enemies in the Legend of Zelda series. "Chasupa" is the Japanese name of this enemy; its official name was never released in the English localization of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Appearances[]
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past[]
Chasupas appear as eyes with wings growing out of their sides. They are the Dark World's counterpart of Keese, although some of them are found in Hyrule Castle Tower in the Light World. They are identical to Keese in behavior, waiting for Link to approach, and fluttering towards him to attack. They are fairly weak, being vulnerable to every weapon in Link's inventory.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds[]
Chasupas reappear in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds acting like the same way they did in A Link to the Past. They are only found inside Dungeons and the Lorule version of the Graveyard.
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes[]
Chasupas remain largely unchanged from their A Link Between Worlds counterparts.
Theory[]
Theory warning: This section contains theoretical information based on the research of one or several other users. It has not been officially verified by Nintendo and its factual accuracy is disputed.
Chasupas can be viewed as Dark World and Lorulean counterpart to Keese, as they have similar behavior. Also in Breath of the Wild, Keese are depicted as having a single eye, making them resemble Chasupa, which indicates the possibility that Chasupa are a species of Keese or that they are related species.
