Chirris are creatures from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes.

Chirris are a species of small birds native to the Faron Woods. They are desired for their plumage, which may be used as a material for upgrading items, or sold for profit. In order to obtain such a feather, Link must sneak up on Chirris congregating on the ground, and catch one in his Bug Net. Blue Chirris are the rarest variety of their kind, and when caught, yield Blue Bird Feathers. When Groose first lands in the Sealed Grounds, he is initially scared of the Chirris due to their unfamiliar appearance and size.
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes[]
Chirris return in Tri Force Heroes and appear in Hytopia's Castle Town. A young girl named Mimi wishes to find a rare blue Chirri so she can take a picture of it and post it to Miiverse. If Link spots one he can take its picture by pressing the Home button and tapping the Miiverse icon, allowing him to post it to Miiverse, however there is no reward for doing this. If the Street Merchant sees one (the player cannot influence this), he will buy Link's Materials for twice the price.
