- "That's a heck of an arm you've got there! And what an eye! No one's ever been able to spot me in there before now! You obviously have mastery of the air. And now that we've established that you're quite the Wind Waker... Let's see if you can handle this!"

Biography[]
Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.
Prior to the events of the game, Cyclos' monumental tablet in a shrine on Dragon Roost Island was destroyed, angering him and causing him to wreak havoc on unwary sailors on the Great Sea. Occasionally, Cyclos appears on the Great Sea, residing within large cyclones. If Link gets too close to one of Cyclos' cyclones, he is forced to do battle with him. Similar to a battle with a Big Octo, Link and the King of Red Lions will become trapped in a vortex, all the while trying to strike Cyclos with an arrow. If Link is sucked into the center before he can manage to do so, he is warped to another section of the Great Sea, taking damage. However, if he can shoot Cyclos with three arrows, the deity surrenders, and teaches Link the "Ballad of Gales", which allows him to summon cyclones that can carry him to other locations.

Theory[]
Theory warning: This section contains theoretical information based on the research of one or several other users. It has not been officially verified by Nintendo and its factual accuracy is disputed.
It is likely that Cyclos is somehow connected to Golden Chief Cylos from The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. This is likely because they are both similarly named overgrown frogs, who have wind-related powers. One possibility is that Golden Chief Cylos is his counterpart in the World of the Ocean King.
Theory warning: Theories end here.
Etymology[]
The name "Cyclos" is derived from cyclone, a real-life meteorological phenomenon.
