"It's a Desbreko. Once it bites you, it's not gonna want to let go. I haaaate this thing!"
Tatl

Desbrekos are enemies from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. These skeletal fish reside in the waters of the Great Bay. They are apparently related to the much weaker Skullfish. Once they sense an enemy’s presence, they attack and try to cause injury to it as many times as possible. They often travel with a group of Skullfish, and when the Desbreko of the group is killed, the remaining Skullfish will die instantly, and the carcass of the defeated Desbreko, unlike other enemies, will float slowly to the surface of the water and float there for a while before it finally disappears.

The most efficient weapons Link can use against Desbrekos are the Zora Boomerangs, the Hero's Bow, and the Hookshot. Link should clear the water of these enemies before entering the water if he can. When they are encountered in the water, the electrical shield Zora Link can emit is also highly effective.

Guitar of Waves[]

Render of the Guitar of Waves

The Guitar of Waves vaguely resembles a Desbreko. One possibility is that it was created from the remains of a Desbreko or was simply modeled after one.
