Dharkstare is the boss of Ice Ruins, a dungeon in Lorule in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

Dharkstare encases itself in a massive chunk of ice and floats around the room and further surrounds itself with a few small ice orbs. It will either use these orbs to fire and refract energy that freezes Link, or launch the orbs directly at him. Link must thaw out Dharkstare using the Fire Rod, which causes it to drop to the floor and become vulnerable to sword attacks. After a short time, Dharkstare will encase itself in ice again and gain more ice orbs, and Link must repeat the process until Dharkstare is defeated.
