Dog Food is a recurring quest item in the Legend of Zelda series.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening[]
The Dog Food, made of juicy beef, is stored in a hermetic can. As a part of the trading quest for the Magnifying Lens, Link can trade the Ribbon he received from Papahl's wife to the small Bow-Wow pet of Madam MeowMeow's in Mabe Village for the can of Dog Food. The Dog Food can in turn be traded to Sale, a banana salesman and collector of canned food living on Toronbo Shores. After promptly eating his newfound collectible, Sale gives Link a bunch of Bananas.
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap[]
A bottle of Dog Food is on display behind the counter of Stockwell's shop. If Link gets behind the counter, Stockwell will ask Link to feed his dog, Fifi, who may be found in his lakeside cabin near Lake Hylia, and will give him the bottle of Dog Food. After Link feeds Fifi with the Dog Food, he is allowed to keep the empty bottle.
