Biography[]
Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.
In order to search Skyloft for his missing Crimson Loftwing, Link goes to the Sparring Hall in order to obtain a weapon to safely traverse the Waterfall Cave. In the backroom of the Sparring Hall, Link finds the Practice Sword. Should he so choose, Link can then initiate sword training by hitting the various wooden log targets throughout the hall, allowing him to practice slashes from different angles, as well as the Spin Attack and Fatal Blow. When Link tries to leave the Sparring Hall with the Practice Sword, Eagus initially stops him; after hearing of Link's predicament, however, he decides to make an exception and allows Link to take the sword with him as long as he does some training.
Later, Eagus plays a role in the side quest Link must undertake for to make amends for the chandelier he broke in the Lumpy Pumpkin. As his first task, Pumm asks him to deliver a bottle of hot Pumpkin Soup to Eagus before too much time has passed, at which point the soup will become cold. Upon successful delivery to Eagus, who scarfs down the soup in his elation, Link is one-third through his set of tasks for Pumm.

Etymology[]
As many residents of Skyloft seem to be named after birds, it is possible that Eagus is named after the eagle.
