Elevators are recurring objects in the Legend of Zelda series.
Appearances[]
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link[]
Elevators allow Link to travel from one floor to another, either above or below, when he enters it. They are found primarily in Palaces, but are also found on Death Mountain. The elevators must be moved with the D-pad.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time[]
One elevator can be found in the Forest Temple. It leads to the temple boss, Phantom Ganon. Before Link can use the elevator, he must find and defeat the four Poe Sisters to relight the torches surrounding the Elevator.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker[]
In the Tower of the Gods, several platforms move up and down, transporting Link between floors, effectively acting as elevators.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess[]
An Elevator appears near the entrance of the Goron Mines, requiring Link to equip his Iron Boots in order to activate a pressure switch. This activates the Elevator, creating a shortcut to the Hot Spring.
