The Farming Hoe is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a farming tool that Link can equip it and use as a two-handed weapon. It has an base attack power of 16 and is occasionally wielded by Bokoblins in the East Necluda particularly ones encountered along the path leading to Hateno Village. Link may also encounter Bokoblins wielding them in the Hyrule Field region. One also spawns inside the shed in Hateno Village next to the house with the Goddess Statue where Reede, Karin, and Clavia next to the doorway. Reede himself wields one while tending his fields. Link can also find one outside the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. Interestingly, one also spawns next to a tree a grove of Apple trees on the east side of Satori Mountain west of Nima Plain. Interestingly, a Farmer's Pitchfork can also be found next to another tree north of were the Farming Hoe spawns.
It is the strongest improvised weapon in terms of attack power as it is stronger than both the Moblin Arm and Boat Oar, though is weaker than the Boat Oar in terms of durability, however it has stronger durability than the Moblin Arm as it is designed to be sturdy enough to withstand the stresses of tilling fields. According to its item and Hyrule Compendium description, its battle applications are untested. Link can take its picture to add it to the Hyrule Compendium where it appears as Entry No. 244 in the Equipment section.

As a sage was said to have lived on Satori Mountain in the past, the Farming Hoe and Pitchfork found there may have originally belonged to him and may have been used by the sage to grow the apple trees where they are found.
