The First Mate is a character from Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland. Bearing striking resemblance to the Piratians from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, the First Mate is a follower of Captain Stalfos. Unlike the other members of the crew, the First Mate is very brave, and somewhat sympathetic to the outside world. He even goes as far as to allow Tingle to join the crew, until the idea is rejected by Captain Stalfos.

Later, the First Mate aids Tingle in defeating all of the Beetle King Death Bug's spawn.
