Foothill Stable is a location from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a stable located in Eldin Canyon next to Cephla Lake, along the path north out of Lanayru Wetlands. It gets its name from the fact that it is located in the foothills of Death Mountain. It is run by Ozunda who Mayro reveals is a talented painter responsible for the painted landscape hanging in the Stable. Link is able to register and access his collection of horses here. Kass can be found her playing his accordion and will sing Link a folk song that tells of the battle between the Divine Beasts and Calamity Ganon that took place 10,000 years prior. The Mo'a Keet Shrine can be found east of the Stable and acts as its warp point once its Travel Gate has been activated. The travelers Dayto and Kairo occasionally rest here.
A Double Axe can be found lying next to some luggage, while an Iron Sledgehammer can be found lying next to some red rocks near the Stable's Cooking Pot. Both of these weapons occasionally respawn if Link leaves the area.
There is a recipe for Fireproof Elixir on the wall.

Beedle[]
Beedle can be found wondering around the area near the stable during the day or in the Stable at night. He sells Arrows and potion ingredients at the Foothill Stable. Link can also trade a Rhino Beetle to Beedle one a day (in-game time) to receive random food or elixirs.

Due to it being near the trail leading to the Maw of Death Mountain and Goron City, Gaile the stable hand makes and sells Fireproof Elixirs to Hylian and Gerudo travelers to protect them from the intense volcanic heat they are sure to encounter along the way to Goron City. Gaile states that regular travelers usually take at least three Fireproof Elixirs with them when making the journey to Goron City. Alternatively, Link can make his own via Cooking. A recipe poster for Fireproof Elixir can be found on a wall inside the stable which Link can use as a guide to make his own. However if he lacks the necessary ingredients to make his own he can purchase them from Gaile.

Shrine quest[]
If Link talks to Mayro, he will tell Link about the painted landscape hanging in the stable that Ozunda painted, which leads to the Shrine Quest, "A Landscape of a Stable". Link must use the landscape painting to locate the Tah Muhl Shrine which is located southwest of the Foothill Stable and north of Trilby Valley.
Etymology[]
This stable may be named after the foothills of Death Mountain where it is found.
