- "An extremely tough pumpkin raised in village fields. When cooked, that toughness manifests itself by considerably upping defense."
- — Hyrule Compendium
Fortified Pumpkins are items from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. They are curative items that restore Link's health by refilling one half Heart Container. Link can buy them in Kakariko Village from Olkin's Pumpkins, and cook them. Olkin will offer the first pumpkin when Link meets him for the first time. In addition to purchasing them from Olkin's Pumpkins, they are also occasionally dropped by defeated Hinox. Fortified Pumpkins can be roasted to create a Baked Fortified Pumpkin. Link can also use Fortified Pumpkins to create pumpkin-based dishes such as Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Stew, and Tough Meat-Stuffed Pumpkin.
Fortified Pumpkins provide identical benefits to Ironshrooms when cooked. They are better cooking ingredients than Armoranths, but are worse than Armored Porgy, Armored Carp, and Ironshell Crab.

Classification[]
Though Pumpkins are actually fruits, in Breath of the Wild they are classified as vegetables as they produce vegetable-based food dishes such as Glazed Veggies, Veggie Rice Balls and Veggie Cream Soup. However this in not uncommon in the real world as some fruits are considered vegetables when they are botanically fruits.
