Hey gang, a weird question for all of you. Have any of you ever dressed up as any of the TLoZ characters? My husband and I have decided to be Link and Zelda for Halloween this year, and we're starting to work on putting the costumes together now so that we can take our time and do them right. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the matter and can offer any pointers; we're using the Twilight Princess looks for the pair of them.
The Link outfit won't be too hard -- I found a seller on eBay who can provide me with the hat and tunic (did I mention that I can't use a sewing machine to save my life?), and we can piece most of the rest of his stuff together out of our Renaissance faire costume trunk. It's the Zelda ensemble that has me sort of nervous; the basic dress isn't too scary, but I'm intimidated by the embroidered regalia that hangs from her belt, and I have no idea how to recreate her gold pauldrons (the armor on her shoulders). Any suggestions will be gratefully entertained, thanks everyone!
Err, I dressed up as a bat once for school. Does that count as being a Keese?

I dressed up as Link for Halloween once when I was 8....Not much detail to the costume 'cause once again, I was 8. I just got my mom to buy me a green shirt that was a bit too long, put a belt over it so it would look like a tunic, my mom sewed a hat like Link's, I wore some regular boots, and put long john's under the shirt. There ya' go, you've got a simple, makeshift Link. (Sorry, that wasn't too helpful, was it?) Sam samurai
by el Jonaz Schnabelabegous- I more than anyone see issues with making Zelda costumes... I am Making a Loz Oot Parody movie on the third of July. That means that I will be making a lot of Zelda costumes. (Link, Zelda, Ganon, Poes, Gibdos, Kokiri, Zora, Goron, Sheik, Dead Hand- THE LIST IS EVER GOING!!) ((Not even to mension all the gosh darn props)) It is a mind Blowing task to recreate them.. Well I know how to sew ad have a sewing kit along with a bit a fabrics and rags....... I guess you will see what becomes of it on Youtube a few days after this upcoming third of July. Just type in my name in a seach and you should come to my account! Enjoy it went it appears.
