I've seen a lot of articles to which I've been tempted to add a see also section, but before I go crazy with it I wanted to ask about them.
1-When exactly should there be a see also section?
2-When is it sufficient to just mention/link the similar thing in the body of the page?
3-When exactly should one of those "This article is about Bob, the boss from that one game. For the recurring enemy, see Bob (Enemy)." kind of headers be used?
4-In more specific versions of a page (i.e. Lanmola (Link's Awakening)), should the more general page be referenced somehow (i.e. one of those headers mentioned in the last question, linking to the general Lanmola page)?
If it's sort of case by case and those are hard to answer concretely, here are a few examples I was wondering about connecting via "See also":
Bombchu linking to Bombs
Super Bomb and Powder Keg linking to each other
Lanmola, Twinmold, Molgera, and Moldorm possibly linking to each other (I started a talk page topic about this)
Stone Mask and Magic Cape linking to each other (kind of separate, but similar function)
So what do you think?--Fierce Deku (talk) 08:16, December 14, 2010 (UTC)
