- "Gwoh hoh hoh... Gwah hah hah... Destroy...all... Kill ALL!!!"
- — Ganon
Ganon is the final boss of the Linked Game ending of The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons.
Story[]
Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.
Ganon is dead prior to the two Oracle games, and the Twinrova seek to revive him. Their plan consists of sending two powerful beings, General Onox and Veran, to the lands of Holodrum and Labrynna respectively. The villains wreak havoc upon the two lands, and though both are defeated by the hero Link, they succeed in lighting two of the Flames of the Dark Rites. The Twinrova then kidnap Princess Zelda, lighting the third and final flame, and intend to use her as a sacrifice in order to complete the ritual to revive Ganon. Link intervenes and defeats the Twinrova, who are then forced to sacrifice themselves to finish the ritual. However, because the Twinrova are an impure sacrifice, Ganon is brought back only as a mindless, raging killing machine. After a fierce battle, Link is able to defeat the Evil King, apparently slaying him.
Spoiler warning: Spoilers end here.
Battle[]
Ganon will teleport around the room using attacks in a random order. The attacks include slashing at Link using his trident, firing off small magic projectiles, and stomping the ground to stun Link before firing a large sphere of magic. As Ganon nears defeat, he transforms the room, reversing Link's movement in response to the controller. In order to damage Ganon, Link must strike him with a Spin Attack. Alternatively, if the Master Sword or Biggoron's Sword has been obtained via a secret from a Linked Game, they can be used to damage Ganon with basic sword strikes.
