The Gerudo's Fortress, also known as the Thieves' Hideout, is a location from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It is the hideout for the Gerudo band of thieves, located between Gerudo Valley and the Haunted Wasteland. As an adult, Link travels to the Gerudo's Fortress on the way to the Spirit Temple. Link must now sneak through the fortress to search for and rescue four missing Carpenters while avoiding the patrolling guards that will throw him in jail upon eye contact. If Link is spotted by one of the Gerudo or knocked out by a fighting guard's spinning attack, however, he is thrown into a jail (if Link does not have the means to escape he is thrown out on the opposite side of the bridge in Gerudo Valley). Using either the Hookshot or the Longshot to escape if caught, Link must sneak through the Fortress and rescue the four Carpenters being held prisoner inside. Each one is guarded by a Gerudo Thief who Link must defeat to obtain the key needed to free the imprisoned Carpenter. Once all the Carpenters are freed, Aveil appears and, impressed with Link's skills, gives him a Gerudo Membership Card, which makes him an honorary member of the Gerudo, and allows him to move freely throughout the Fortress. After becoming an honorary member, Link can participate in the archery mini-game, held by the Gerudo Master of Horseback Archery at the Horseback Archery Range, enter the Gerudo's Training Ground, and access the Haunted Wasteland.

The settlement in the southwest portion of Gerudo Desert appears to be modelled after (or intended to be the remains of ) the Gerudo's Fortress. Near the Settlement's two Keeps is a towering structure that appears to be the remains of the Fortress.
