Gibos are recurring enemies in the Legend of Zelda series. Their bodies resemble jelly clouds, encased in which are nuclei, which can be damaged only when separated from the protective cloud. They are light red on the outside, and the center nuclei are more of a dark pink color. Gibos move by exposing their nuclei, which then move in a random direction, causing the protective clouds to follow them and envelop them once more.

Appearances[]

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past[]

Gibos are located in Thieves' Town, the fourth dungeon in the Dark World. In the interim of a Gibo's movement, Link is granted a chance to damage its nucleus.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds[]

Gibos appear within Turtle Rock. The option to avoid their protective clouds and attack their nuclei is still available to Link, but he now has the additional option to freeze the cloud with the Ice Rod, preventing the nucleus from returning to safety.
