"You got a bottle of Gold Dust! This is the finest quality available!"
— In-game description

Gold Dust is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes.

Appearances

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

A bottle of Gold Dust is given as first prize for the Goron Races. Link can keep the bottle after the Gold Dust is used up.

After Zubora and Gabora have reforged Link's Kokiri Sword into the Razor Sword, the hero can present them with Gold Dust in order for them to reforge the sword again. The forging process takes until the dawn of the game's next day, and thus can only be completed if begun on or prior to the Second Day. Once Link returns on the Dawn of the Second or Final Day, the unbreakable Gilded Sword will be complete. Zubora remarks that he has used the surplus Gold Dust for unknown purposes.

Gold Dust can also be sold for a profit. After the Gilded Sword has been completed, Zubora will offer Link 20 Rupees for a bottle of Gold Dust. However, visiting Clock Town's Curiosity Shop proves more profitable as the Man from the Curiosity Shop will offer the handsome sum of 200 Rupees for a bottle.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes

"Looks like sand, but it's sooo much more. CHA-CHING!"
— In-game description

Gold Dust returns in Tri Force Heroes as a Material item used in creating clothes at Madam Couture's shop. Unlike its appearance in Majora's Mask, it no longer needs to be carried in a Bottle. It can be obtained in The Ruins stage.
