Gold Skulltula Tokens, also known as Gold Skulltula Spirits, are recurring quest items in the Legend of Zelda series. These golden tokens appear after the defeat of a Gold Skulltula. They are typically connected to various curses, which are broken upon the collection of a set number of tokens.

Appearances[]

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time[]

Gold Skulltula Tokens are part of a sidequest that is gradually completed as the game progresses. All 100 tokens must be collected to break the curse on the Fabulously Rich Family in Kakariko Village.

When Link collects 10 tokens, he is given the Adult's Wallet. When he has 20 tokens, he is rewarded with the Stone of Agony. 30 tokens gives him a Giant's Wallet. 40 makes for some Bombchus, and 50 gives him a Piece of Heart. He will not receive any more rewards until he has collected all 100, in which case the curse on all of members of the family is broken. The father will reward him with an infinite amount of Golden Rupees.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask[]

Gold Skulltula Spirits are found within the Swamp and Oceanside Spider Houses, both of which contain a total of thirty Spirits each. When Link breaks the curse placed on a man found in the Swamp Spider House by collecting thirty Gold Skulltula Spirits, he is given the Mask of Truth in return. Upon collecting all thirty found in the Oceanside Spider House, a man appears near the house's entrance. If this task is completed within the passing of the First Day, Link receives a Giant Wallet. If completed on the Second or Final Day, he receives merely a Gold Rupee.
