"The Sheikah of ancient Hyrule developed this as a weapon to combat Ganon. This flying model is an improvement over the walking type, capable of either attacking or surveying from the air. Destroying the propeller will ground it."
Hyrule Compendium

Guardian Skywatchers are enemies from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. They are the third most common type of the Guardian enemies. They are flying Guardians found in certain parts of Hyrule, such as the airspace around Hyrule Castle in Central Hyrule and throughout the Akkala province, particularly Akkala Citadel Ruins and Ordorac Quarry. They also patrol Lomei Labyrinth Island in the Akkala Sea region and the island chain within the Lanayru Sea consisting of Tingel Island, Ankel Island, Knuckel Island, and Davdi Island. They have the same HP, weapon, and body to the Guardian Stalkers. If Link gets into their red spotlight or attacks them before they notice him, they will start attacking. Link can slow or immobilize them by destroying their propellers, making it easier to deal with. Once its propellers are gone, they fall to the ground and are vulnerable to melee attacks, though are destroyed if they fall in deep water.

Like other Guardians, they are extremely vulnerable to Ancient Arrows and cause the Master Sword to take on its glowing "True" full power state when near Guardian Skywatchers due to being corrupted by Calamity Ganon's influence. While flying they are among the most dangerous Guardians due to their mobility and the fact they are only vulnerable to ranged attacks and beam reflection unless grounded. As a result they are used by Ganon to patrol certain important areas such as around Hyrule Castle, the Akkala Citadel Ruins, and Ordorac Quarry near the Spring of Power.
