"You got the Gust Bellows! It is an ancient and mystical device capable of blowing an endless gust of wind."
— In-game description

The Gust Bellows is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Obtained in the Lanayru Mining Facility, it draws in air using a vacuum mounted at its rear and then blows it out at high speeds. The Gust Bellows can be used to clear away sand and dust, revealing the objects buried beneath, as well as knocking over small enemies such as Arachas. At one point it is used to cause suspended wooden platforms inside the Great Tree of Faron Woods to swing, allowing Link to climb further up the tree. It is also required in order to get Armos to expose their weak points by using it to spin the propellers on their heads. It can stun various types of Keese making them vulnerable to Link's sword. Link can also occasionally blow away dust mounds to find Lanayru Ants. Blowing some air on certain broken down Ancient Robots or flags in Skyloft will cause Blue Rupees to appear.

After receiving the Gust Bellows, Link can visit Pipit's house at night, and, if he talks to Mallara, she will ask Link to clean the dust out of her house. When Link completes this task, he is rewarded with 20 Rupees and five Gratitude Crystals. This job can be completed multiple times for the Rupee reward.
