- "It's a Hiploop. Quickly dodge it if it charges at you. But can't you first do something about that mask it's wearing?"
- — Tatl
Hiploops are recurring enemies in the Legend of Zelda series.
Appearances[]
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask[]
Hiploops are raging insect-like creatures that attack Link by ramming into him if he passes directly in front of them. Hiploops occasionally wear metal masks, shielding their vulnerable faces; however, their backsides remain vulnerable. Their protective masks can be removed with the Hookshot.
Normal Hiploops inhabit Woodfall, while masked Hiploops reside within Stone Tower Temple. Unmasked Hiploops can be killed while Link is in Deku form by first stunning them with a spin attack and blowing bubbles at them.
Tatl's Note[]
“Hiploops are hotheaded, so they'll charge if you look it in the eye. If it comes at you, assume the defensive position.” |
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords[]
Hiploops will dash at Link if he crosses their line of sight. Their masks can be removed with the Magnetic Gloves, leaving them vulnerable and unable to dash.
