Hues are recurring enemies in the Legend of Zelda series. They are closely related to Poes, with the only notable differences being appearance and location.

Appearances[]

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past[]

Hues are the Dark World equivalent of Poes. Hues appear as small ghosts with slatted knight helmet visors covering what would be their face and carrying a glowing cross on a chain. They drift around in ovular patterns, circling graves and places of death. Many can be encountered in the Village of Outcasts and the wooded area north of it and south of the Skull Woods. They can also be found in the Rock Garden, the Dark World equivalent of the graveyard. Hues are quick moving, difficult to hit, and can do considerable damage to Link if they touch him. However, the Hookshot kills them in one shot.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds[]

Hues are the Lorule equivalent of Poes in this game and are most notable found at the Graveyard. Their appearance and behavior is much like that of their A Link to the Past counterparts.
