- "The Hero of Winds once wore this shirt on the quaint island he called home. They say he wielded the wind to travel the ocean wide. It's a rather rare find."
- — Island Lobster Shirt description
The Island Lobster Shirt is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a thematic body armor inspired by the Island Lobster Shirt worn by Link in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It can be obtained upon "The Champions' Ballad" DLC pack 2 installation.
According to the side quest relating to it as well as Misko's EX Journal 2, the helmet was originally located at Hyrule Castle as part of a historical line of clothing, but the bandit Misko stole it and hid it at Cora Lake.
The shirt grants Level 1 Heat Resistance though only adds one point to defense. Though it is a rare piece of Armor and a historic artifact, shops and merchants will only pay Link 15 Rupees for it. Like most DLC Armor it cannot be upgraded or dyed. However it can be easily obtained early on thus can be useful travelling through the desert until Link acquires better Heat Resistant Armor such as the Sapphire Circlet or the "Gerudo" and/or "Desert Voe" Armor sets. Promotional Artwork of the Island Lobster Shirt depicts Link wearing a pair Hylian Trousers which he normally wears with his Champion's Tunic in Breath of the Wild promotional material and Recovered Memory cutscenes. Both the Champion's Tunic and Island Lobster Shirt are blue shirts strongly associated with a specific incarnation of Link.
Interestingly, the shirt allows a raft to sail faster when using a Korok Leaf.

Origins[]
The Island Lobster Shirt is a reference to the unnamed outfit the Hero of Winds wears as the beginning of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker before switching to the Hero's Clothes. They are visible when he wears the Hero's New Clothes in the second playthrough of The Wind Waker.
Breath of the Wild implies it is the same shirt worn by the Hero of Winds that apparently ended up in the Royal Family of Hyrule's collection of historical armor before being stolen by Misko. Presumably the shirt's corresponding trousers did not survive or were lost over time as the shirt is more recognizable due to its lobster design.
