Long Spears (also known as Moblin Spears) are items from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. These spears are the primary weapons used by Moblins. If Link defeats or disarms a Moblin, he can use the creature's spear as a weapon. Link cannot carry them between rooms, and they are not available for use from the inventory screen. They can be thrown to damage enemies at long distances. Interestingly, if there is an unused Long Spear lying on the ground, an unarmed Darknut may pick it up and use it.
Moblins can use Long Spears to perform stabs and long swing attacks, the latter which can send Link flying back at considerable distance; however, Link can only swing them in a 360-degree horizontal slash or a standard Spin Attack. Long Spears have a wide attack range and can send enemies flying. They cannot, however, be used in narrow spaces unless through a Spin Attack, during which the game's wall clipping programming does not apply as it normally would.
Unlike Link's regular sword, Long Spears able to break pots, and Barrels.
