Lorule Guards are enemies from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Like their Hyrulean counterparts, they are soldiers in the service of Yuga and wield a variety of weapons, including swords, daggers, and spears. However, they all wear armor of the same grey color. Link only encounters these enemies inside Lorule Castle and the Treacherous Tower.
Lorule Guards originally served as Princess Hilda's loyal subjects, but upon the destruction of the Triforce, they defected towards Gemesaur King. This variant of soldiers guard the maze outside of Dark Palace, and Link must slip past their fields of vision to make it to the maze's end, or they will send him to the prison cell closest to where he was caught. After defeating the Gemesaur King, these soldiers will leave the maze area.
