Magma Spumes are enemies from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Found in the Earth Temple, they are round, tadpole-like enemies that reside in lava. Magma Spumes store and process gas produced by the lava into a projectile that they spit at Link from a distance. However, they will dive down into the lava should Link get too close. They can be defeated with a Skyward Strike, Bombs or the Bow, and can also be crushed underneath the large rock that Link uses to navigate the temple.
