The Master Cycle Zero is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a Rune ability for the Sheikah Slate granting a thematic vehicle built from the Ancient Sheikah technology. It has a fuel gauge which can be refilled by throwing Materials into the tank.
Upon installation of "The Champions' Ballad" DLC pack and after the side quest "EX Champions' Ballad" is triggered. During the last objectives of the quest, Link is led to the Final Trial. After completing it and defeating the final boss Monk Maz Koshia, Link is rewarded with the Master Cycle Zero.
Prior to the game's release, concept art for the then-in-development game at GDC 2017 featured Link riding a motorcycle, similarly to the Master Cycle Zero.[1]
Refueling[]
All materials can be used to refuel the Master Cycle Zero, but some materials fill it more than others, and have a unique impact on refueling with each additional unit. Thirteen Apples are needed to fulfill a depleted tank, but a Star Fragment and a Dragon's Scale will also do.
Link's Divine Beast[]
The information regarding the Quest leading up to the acquisition of the Master Cycle Zero makes mention of Link mastering a Divine Beast. While the dungeon included in the DLC operates like a Divine Beast, it shows no indication of the outside being an animal-shaped construct, nor does it show the exterior during any portion of its exploration. While it is arguable to compare a small transport to the behemoths wielded by the deceased Champions, it is present on the loading screen after obtaining it, as well as being an animal-shaped (horse) construct of Sheikah technology, so it can be considered the equivalent of a Divine Beast when wielded by the only known Champion lacking such a machine with the exception of their leader Princess Zelda.
