The Master Sword Lv2 is a recurring sword in the Legend of Zelda series. It is the form Link's Master Sword takes after receiving a significant upgrade.

The Master Sword, halfway restored by the prayers of the Earth Sage
After Link tries to confront Ganondorf in the Forsaken Fortress, it is revealed the Master Sword has lost most of its power when Ganondorf killed the two Sages of the Master Sword. Link brings Medli into the depths of the Earth Temple where she becomes a new sage. This increases the power of Link's Master Sword and causes the previously folded crossguard to open, giving the weapon an appearance closer to that of the iconic Master Sword.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds[]
Link can upgrade the Master Sword to the Master Sword Lv2 by bringing the Blacksmith in Hyrule two chunks of Master Ore. It deals three times more damage than its predecessor and gains a red blade similar to the Tempered Sword. As well as its blade changing color, the beams it fires do as well. It can be further upgraded to the Master Sword Lv3 if two more chunks of master ore are brought to the Blacksmith in Lorule.
