Medals of Courage are quest items in The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords. They are obtained from the Great Fairy after each stage. Whoever collects the most Rupees in the stage will receive one Medal of Courage.
If Link collects ten of these medals, he will be able to begin the quest for the Whirlwind Sword Attack in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past by talking to the Q. Bumpkin in the the Woodsmen's Hut in the northeastern Light World.
