The Meteor Rod is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a fire elemental rod and is stronger than the Fire Rod as it can fire three fireballs instead of one, though like the Fire Rod it must briefly recharge after each use and will break completely when its fire magic runs out. Link can obtained it after defeating a Meteo Wizzrobe. A Blue Bokoblin on Crenel Hills wields one and can be found near the path leading to Orsedd Bridge and respawn wielding one if slain after a Blood Moon. It is one of two rods to be wielded by a non-Wizzrobe enemy archetype outside of enemies picking up dropped rods. Interestingly the other rod is the Fire Rod as a Black Bokoblin in the northeastern part of Meadela's Mantle wields a Fire Rod. This indicates Bokoblins have an affinity for fire-based rods. One can be found in a Treasure Chest located inside the Hebra Trailhead Lodge. One spawns in an alcove within North Lomei Labyrinth east of the Qaza Tokki Shrine.

Like the Fire Rod, if Link preforms a Spin Attack while wielding it, he will cast five fireballs in a pattern which interestingly resembles the kanji 火 (fire?). Like all Rods, Fire Rods cannot be thrown and instead will cast a three fireballs.

Like lit Torches, it can be used to light Campfires, Cooking Pots, and Torches. It can also be used to roast food. Additionally the glow of the rod can be used to light up dark areas such as Thyphlo Ruins as can the fireballs it produces. Its creates a decent amount of light allowing it to double as a torch in the pitch-black ruins. However Link must be careful as the fireballs it produces can easily start wildfires in dry grass which he or his horse can get caught in. Like other fire elemental weaponry it warms up Link's body temperature while equipped protecting him from minor cold temperatures.
