The "Minuet of Forest" (森のメヌエット Mori no Menuetto?) is a song from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This transportation song teleports Link to the Sacred Forest Meadow, near the entrance to the Forest Temple.
The Minuet of Forest can be played on the Ocarina of Time by playing A, Up-C, Left-C, Right-C, Left-C, Right-C. In the 3DS remake of Ocarina of Time, the notes can be played with L, A, X, Y, X, Y. The actual pitches of the notes translate as follows: D5, D6, B5, A5, B5, A5.

After awakening in a ruined Hyrule seven years older, Link embarks on a quest to awaken the Six Sages. As he travels into Kokiri Forest to awaken the Sage of Forest, Link meets Sheik, a mysterious Sheikah whom he had encountered earlier, in the Temple of Time. With some words of wisdom, Sheik teaches Link the "Minuet of Forest", that Link may return to this area more easily in the future.

In Termina Field, near Snowhead, a music bar engraved in stone depicts multiple warp songs from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, including "Minuet of Forest". When played correctly on the Ocarina, Link is awarded Rupees.

The last part of the Minuet of Forest can be heard when Link and the King of Red Lions warp to an island using the "Ballad of Gales".

Etymology[]
A minuet is the name given to a song written in 3/4 time, which in turn was named after a type of dance called a minuet, also danced in 3/4 time. Often a short piece of music, "Minuet of the Forest" may allude to the dwarfism of Kokiri.
