Molblin's Magic Spear is a children's book based on The Legend of Zelda, published by Nintendo. Its story takes place during the events of The Legend of Zelda, and is presented as a minor adventure that takes place during Link's quest to rescue Princess Zelda from Gannon. Some copies of the book came with a listen-along cassette.
As in the first two games in the series, the word is spelled "Molblin" rather than the officially accepted "Moblin".

The story begins with Link assembling equipment in preparation for searching the dungeons for the pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom. He encounters a Molblin wielding a magical spear, that when thrown, causes a new spear to appear in the Molblin's hands. Link inadvertently stumbles into the cave of an old man, who sells him a bomb and a new shield. In exchange for a drink of unpolluted water, the old man tells Link that his shield has magical properties. The shield and bomb both enable Link to escape from his adversary and continue his adventures.
