The Mountain Cave is a location from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It is the home of the Lost Old Man on Death Mountain. Link helps the old man find his way back to his cave after he becomes lost in the maze-like caverns of Death Mountain, for which the old man rewards Link with the Magic Mirror. Subsequently, the Mountain Cave can be used as a starting point when loading a saved game, if the game was saved while Link was in the Light World. One of the landing spots for the Duck is also situated directly outside the Mountain Cave. If Link visits the Lost Old Man inside the cave, the Old Man will restore all of Link's depleted Heart Containers.
