Muwo Jeem Shrine is a Shrine from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is located at the end of Cape Cales in the East Necluda region. The Sheikah Monk Muwo Jeem offers a Spirit Orb to Link after he completes his combat trial "A Modest Test of Strength" .
A Modest Test of Strength[]
This trial is a moderately difficult combat trial against a Guardian Scout III wielding a Ancient Battle Axe+ and a Guardian Shield+. The trials battleground features breakable eight breakable stone pillars that can be used as cover from the Scout's beam shots or lure the Scout into hitting one during its forward Spin Attack charge which will momentarily stun it. As the scout carries a shield Link must attack when its guard is down or use two-handed weapons that break through its guard. Its Axe swipes can be backflip dodged with proper timing to Perfect Dodge in order to initiate a Flurry Rush. Its beam Spin Attack can be dodged using the Paraglider to ride the Updraft it creates putting Link in a position to attack using an aerial Jump Slash, Downthrust (depending upon his weapon), or aerial bow attack. Its charged Guardian Beam can be reflected with a Perfect Guard or by guarding with an Ancient Shield. Like all Guardians, the Scout is weak against ancient weaponry such as Robbie's Ancient Soldier Gear and the Guardian Scout's own weaponry. The Ancient Armor set upgraded to two stars or higher can make the trial much easier as it grants Guardian Resist (increasing Link's resistance to the Scout's attacks) and the set bonus Ancient Proficiency (which increases the damage caused by Link's ancient weaponry) . Like all Scouts encountered during trials it is uncorrupted thus the Master Sword will not activate its "True" power state in their presence however its true power state can be used against the Scout if Link has unlocked it permanently through the DLC Side Quest "EX Trial of the Sword".
Once completed the shrine's trial it will reset after each Blood Moon allowing Link to combat its Guardian Scout to acquire its equipment, materials, or to take its picture with the Camera Rune for the Hyrule Compendium. However Muwo Jeem will disappear once he has given Link the Spirit Orb though his empty altar can be accessed to exit the shrine though Link can also use the elevator.
