The Noble Sword, also known as the L-2 Sword, is a sword that appears in both The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. The sword is not as strong as the Master Sword, but it is greatly reminiscent of the legendary weapon. Like the Master Sword, this blade can fire beams to attack distant foes if Link's health is full. In the Japanese version of the game, the Noble Sword is called the White Sword.
Appearances[]
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages[]
During the quest for the Noble Sword, Link receives a Broken Sword from an Elderly Zora in exchange for the Sea Ukulele. If the Broken Sword is taken to Patch on Restoration Wall, he can repair it if Link successfully completes his ritual.
Link can also obtain the Noble Sword by telling King Zora a secret he heard from a Zora in the Hero's Cave in Holodrum, provided he has not already obtained the Noble Sword. If this happens, the Master Sword will be acquired by having Patch repair the Broken Sword.
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons[]
During the quest for the Noble Sword, Link eventually ends up in the Lost Woods near the Tarm Ruins. The sword is set on a pedestal in a clearing. It can then be pulled out. Interestingly, the appearance of the sword while in the pedestal bears a resemblance to something similar to a saber. In the item menu, however, the sword looks like a more traditional sword. Additionally, the idea of a pedestal is somewhat similar to the Pedestal of Time in which the mythical Master Sword is set. The Master Sword will be found in this pedestal if the Noble Sword has already been obtained.
Link can also obtain the Noble Sword by telling the Old Man beneath Tick Tock's Clock Shop a secret he heard from an Old Hag in Lynna City, provided he has not already obtained the Noble Sword.
