The Note to Mom is a quest item from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The letter is given to Link by Baito.
After Link sorts 25 letters at the Mail Center and becomes a legend among part-time employees on Dragon Roost Island, Baito will ask him to display his legendary letter sorting skills once more. Upon completion of this task, Baito asks Link to deliver a letter to his mother; unable to leave his work post, Baito requires that Link deliver the letter in his place. Link delivers the Note to Mom to a Postbox for a ranging fee that is dependant on Link's distance from Dragon Roost Island. A few days later, Link receives a letter from Baito's mother, Kashiko, in which she thanks Link for his kindness towards Baito and rewards him with a Piece of Heart.
