The "Oath to Order" (誓いの号令 Chikai no Gōrei?, Order to the Oath) is a song from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It is taught to Link by the first of the Four Giants, whom he meets after defeating Odolwa in Woodfall Temple, the first dungeon in the game.
Link can play the "Oath to Order" on the Ocarina of Time by playing C-Right, C-Down, A, C-Down, C-Right, C-Up. The actual pitches of the notes translate as follows: A, F, D, F, A, high D.
Story[]
Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.
The "Oath to Order", although it is taught to Link early in the game, only has an effective use after freeing all Four Giants, and is played on the end of the Final Day, when Clock Tower opens up. After confronting the Skull Kid, Link plays this song and summons the Four Giants from the four outlying regions of Termina, who prevent the Moon from crashing into Termina long enough for Link to defeat Majora and its many forms.
It should be noted that the "Oath to Order" can be used before freeing all Four Giants. However, this will not result in the continuation of the story as the Giants cannot prevent catastrophe unless they are all freed; if played with less than all Four Giants rescued, those freed will attempt to stop the Moon, though they ultimately fail. If this occurs, Link still has an opportunity to play the "Song of Time" to go back to the First Day and finish rescuing the remaining giants.
