"You got the Ocarina of Wind! North, south, east, and west are all just a breath away!"
— In-game description
The Ocarina of Wind

The Ocarina of Wind is an item in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. It is an ocarina crafted by the Wind Tribe, and when Link plays the Ocarina of Wind, it summons a blue bird named Zeffa that can carry Link to Wind Crests found throughout Hyrule.

Link receives the Ocarina of Wind at the top of the Fortress of Winds, the ancient home of the Wind Tribe, where the Wind Element was supposed to be held. However, when the Wind Tribe moved, they took the element with them, and as such, makes the Fortress of Winds the first dungeon to yield a usable item as a reward for completion rather than a quest item.

The Ocarina of Wind plays the same role as the Flute from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. The Ocarina of Wind's Warping Theme can also be heard when Link plays the Recorder in The Legend of Zelda and during the intro scene for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Additionally, the same melody is heard when the player uses a Warp Whistle in Super Mario Bros. 3.
