Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

The Portraits are quest items from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. They are portraits of the Seven Sages, Irene, Gulley, Rosso, Impa, Osfala, Oren and Seres, turned into paintings by Yuga. They are scattered across Lorule following Yuga's fusion with Ganon, and are kept deep within dungeons. Link must locate and retrieve each of the portraits to return its sage to normal, for the ultimate end of obtaining the Triforce of Courage and defeat Yuga. Yuga has also sealed Princess Zelda into a portrait, which was kept in the Lorule Castle throne room until Link defeats Yuga.

During the final battle, Yuga transforms Princess Hilda into a painting and subsequently absorbs her, allowing him to obtain the Triforce of Wisdom she possessed.
