The Rail Map is a quest item from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. This stone slab serves as a map of New Hyrule and is in some way connected to the vanishing Spirit Tracks. Link must traverse the Tower of Spirits and recover the four pieces of the Rail Map, thus allowing him to travel to each of the four Realms of New Hyrule. The pieces of the Rail Map are found on floors 3, 7, 12 and 17. Once all four are acquired, they form the completed Rail Map.

Like most normal maps in the game, the player is able to access the map on the touchscreen and draw whatever is wanted using the Memo, and these can be erased when needed. The player is also able to access maps of locations such as Castle Town, without having to go to the location itself to bring up the map.

While travelling, the any Train, Dark Train, and Armored Train will be displayed on the map. Occasionally, when any Dark Train and/or Armored Train are not within physical sight and are approaching each other, they proceed to go through each other. However, in a scenario where they are within sight, both will halt in front of each other and turn around, going the opposite direction.
